The Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination is an autonomous organization of Bihar Education Department. It is a registered government society established under societies act.
Yes, IIT and other private and government institute accept the BBOSE passing certificate. With BBOSE certificate, you can take admission in any private or government institute.
BBOSE is a recognized board in India. Candidate passed class 12th from a recognized board are eligible to appear in any entrance examination.
Yes, BBOSE certificates are acceptable by every private and government organization. You can apply for any competitive exam or government jobs.
Yes, the students of Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination after clear 12th also take CLAT exam. As per the criteria of the CLAT exam, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and persons with Disability).
NIOS has introduced 100% On-line admission at the Secondary and the Senior Secondary level in order to facilitate learners to register.
Under this scheme, the learner have three options:
(i) He/She can register on-line directly by visiting the website of NIOS i.e., www.nios.ac.in
(ii) He/She may visit his/her nearest AI (Study Centre)/Facilitation Centre and take help for on-line registration.
(iii) He/She may visit the concerned Regional Centre of NIOS and take help for on line registration.
(iv) He/She can use the services of the Common Services Centres of the Govt. of India for Online registration throughout the Country.
Open and Distance learning (ODL) is an innovative approach of providing opportunity of learning through Self Learning Material (SLM) and certain other strategies in a flexible manner at the pace of learners. In this mode, the learner is also provided academic support in the form of PCP and TMA in addition to SLM
NIOS offers the following programmes /courses:-
Open Basic Education (OBE) Programme, which includes following three levels courses.
(i) OBE ‘A’ Level Course -Equivalent to class III
(ii) OBE ‘B’ Level Course -Equivalent to class V
(iii) OBE ‘C’ Level Course -Equivalent to class VIII
a) Academic Courses
(i) Secondary Course-Equivalent to class X
(ii) Senior Secondary Course-Equivalent to class XII
b) Vocational Education Courses
c) Life Enrichment Programmes
Fee concession is provided to female and SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen and the differently abled candidates as per NIOS norms.
A learner can choose subjects of his/her choice from the list provided at NIOS website and prospectus keeping in view the passing criteria and Certification criteria, as also the requirement of other Boards/University for further education.
